Soccer Recap: Central Magnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cascade on Thursday, Central Magnet came back down to earth. Central Magnet took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tullahoma Wildcats on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Central Magnet came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Tullahoma is ranked 146th).

Central Magnet's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-3. As for Tullahoma, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6-2 record this season.

Central Magnet wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-0 win against DeKalb County on the 29th. As for Tullahoma, they will face off against Giles County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
