Baseball Recap: Valley View Cougars vs. Abington Heights Comets

Valley View had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Abington Heights Comets, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 25th.

As for Abington Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for Abington Heights, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Abington Heights' part, Nick Bradley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 16 Ks. Bradley has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Abington Heights let Thomas LaCoe and Conner Abel run wild. LaCoe went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs, while Abel got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
