Basketball Recap: Dreyfoos School of the Arts Comes Up Short

Dreyfoos School of the Arts lost against Boca Raton Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boca Raton Christian Blazers. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blazers 21-11 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Dreyfoos School of the Arts lost, don't look at Tyson Jimerson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards. The matchup was Jimerson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Tong, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Dreyfoos School of the Arts smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Joshua Good continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Boca Raton Christian, going 11 of 19 on his way to 31 points along with five assists and three steals. Good is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Jeemias, who had 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Boca Raton Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
