Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bear Creek

Bear Creek waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Overlake Owls 69-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Bear Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Max Beiber out in front who posted 15 points. Beiber's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Branch, who went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points.

Bear Creek's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Overlake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Bear Creek will challenge Northwest at 8:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Overlake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-35 win against South Whidbey on the 18th.
