Olivia Holub leads Shadow Ridge to victory over Mountain Ridge

Even though the Shadow Ridge Stallions have not done well against the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Shadow Ridge snuck past Mountain Ridge with a 49-44 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shadow Ridge.
Shadow Ridge can attribute much of their success to Olivia Holub, who scored 22 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Holub has scored at least 25% of Shadow Ridge's points. Another player making a difference was Shaelyn Anthony, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Shadow Ridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chandler at 4:30 p.m. Chandler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Shadow Ridge in Arizona (Chandler is ranked second, while Shadow Ridge is ranked 43rd). As for Mountain Ridge, they will square off against Higley at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
