Recap: Twin Valley Wildcats vs. Rivendell Academy
The Twin Valley Wildcats's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They managed a 58-54 victory over Rivendell Academy. The win was just what Twin Valley needed coming off of a 54-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Twin Valley found their leader in underclassman Brayden Brown, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Cody Magnant was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Twin Valley's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Rivendell Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twin Valley the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Spaulding at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Spaulding is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Rivendell Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bellows Falls at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Bellows Falls is ranked 19th in Vermont, while Rivendell Academy is ranked 33rd in New Hampshire).
