Softball Recap: Scott County Central Comes Up Short

Scott County Central fell victim to Oak Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Blue Jays. The Braves have struggled against the Blue Jays recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Scott County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oak Ridge, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Scott County Central is taking a road trip to take on Puxico at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Braves are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Oak Ridge, they will take on Arcadia Valley in a tournament on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.14 runs per game on average), something the Blue Jays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
