Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 65-54 to the Evansville Memorial Tigers on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hatchets of the 67-51 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Evansville Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Evansville Memorial beat Washington by a score of 65-54 on Friday.
