Volleyball Recap: Willcox Comes Up Short

Willcox lost against Benson back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cowboys fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Willcox took Benson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 15-10.

Willcox's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Benson, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Willcox will take on rival San Miguel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Benson is set to face off against their familiar foe Santa Rita at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
