Basketball Game Preview: Patrick County Cougars vs. James River Knights

The Patrick County Cougars will challenge the James River Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Patrick County and four for James River.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-32, which was the final score in Patrick County's tilt against Carroll County on Thursday. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, James River was beaten by Radford 64-28 on Thursday.

James River's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Patrick County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Patrick County was able to grind out a solid win over James River in their previous matchup back in January, winning 58-48. Will Patrick County repeat their success, or does James River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
