Soccer Recap: Ysleta Takes a Loss

Ysleta and Frenship Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Ysleta had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Ysleta have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Sofia Vega-Uribe, who's now up to eight this season.

Ysleta's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Frenship Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-4 record this season.

Ysleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frenship Memorial, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Decatur on the 23rd.
