Recap: Robinson Rams vs. Lake Braddock Bruins
The Robinson Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. The match between Robinson and Lake Braddock wasn't particularly close, with Robinson falling 61-46. Robinson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lake Braddock apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Robinson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scott Van antwerp, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Barnhart, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Robinson's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lake Braddock, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will play host again and welcome Alexandria City, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alexandria City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday. As for Lake Braddock, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Fairfax focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
