Baseball Game Preview: Arcadia Raiders vs. Black River Falls Tigers

For the second straight game, Arcadia will face off against Black River Falls. The Raiders will face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Arcadia lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Black River Falls, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Raiders put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-1 win on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted against the Tigers since April 21, 2023.

Ben Lightfoot made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lightfoot was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carter Wegman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Austin Hughes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Black River Falls' defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Arcadia, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
