Softball Recap: Bay City Western Comes Up Short

Bay City Western fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Lapeer East on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bay City Western saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Ziehmer, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Calee Lijewski was another, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Bay City Western's loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Bay City Western will be playing at home against Grand Blanc at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lapeer East, they will head out to face off against Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
