            Volleyball Recap: Mukwonago Indians vs. Heritage Christian Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Mukwonago was the  2-0 winner over Heritage Christian when they last played one another  back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Patriots by a score of  3-2 on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Mukwonago took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 16-25, 25-19,  15-12.
 Angelina Dorow paced Mukwonago's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dorow got some help from  Amanda Esmeier and her 20 assists.  Hannah Vermuelen and  Katie Sterny kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
 Among those leading the charge was   Nina Dorger, who  had 18  digs and two  assists. Those  18  digs gave  her a new career-high.  Lucy Boeck also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Mukwonago's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
 Mukwonago didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  win against Greendale on the 6th. As for Heritage Christian, they will square off against St. Francis at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
