Softball Recap: Greenon Knights vs. Cedarville Indians
Greenon lost against Cedarville last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenon Knights fell victim to a tough 14-2 defeat at the hands of the Cedarville Indians. Greenon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Greenon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Krislyn Layne, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with an RBI. Peyton Walker was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
On Cedarville's side, Ryleigh Burnett and Lydia Betts did most of the damage at the plate: Burnett scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Betts went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.
