Basketball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Comes Up Short

Sunshine Bible Academy lost against Ipswich back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders lost 69-49 to the Ipswich Tigers. The Crusaders were down 57-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Sunshine Bible Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jerome Big Eagle went 6-for-8 en route to 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Thieman, who posted 11 points.

Sunshine Bible Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ipswich, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Coming up, Sunshine Bible Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sioux Falls Lutheran at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ipswich, they will head out to challenge Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
