Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Takes a Loss

Clear Creek lost against Clear Springs back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clear Creek Wildcats took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Springs Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Chargers are ranked 39th).

Clear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Clear Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season.

Clear Creek will square off against Dickinson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dickinson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Clear Creek likes a good challenge. As for Clear Springs, they will host Clear Brook at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
