Basketball Recap: East Central Falls to George County in First Game of Season + How To Watch

East Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the George County Rebels on Friday. The Hornets have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Howard, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zane Ramassini, who put up nine points and five boards.

The victory got George County back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, East Central is taking a road trip to take on Faith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George County, they will challenge Richton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
