Volleyball Recap: Baraboo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Baraboo can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Sun Prairie West Wolves on Thursday. The Thunderbirds' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

While Baraboo was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Sun Prairie West's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.

Sabrina Hartmann paced Baraboo's offense, picking up five kills. Hartmann got some help from Presley Zimmerman and her 13 assists. Emma Pichler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Sun Prairie West to victory were Bridget Drake and Jillian Kessler. Drake had nine digs and three aces, while Kessler had five digs and three assists. Those nine digs gave Drake a new career-high.

Baraboo's loss dropped their record down to 14-24. As for Sun Prairie West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-15 record this season.

Baraboo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sun Prairie West, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against DeForest on the 25th.
