Preview: Dudley Panthers vs. Robinson Bulldogs
Dudley is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Robinson is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dudley Panthers will take on the Robinson Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dudley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 654 points over their last 12 games.
With a playoff game on the line, Dudley rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed by Central Davidson at home to the tune of 48-6. Fans of Dudley have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
It was another big night for Andrew Attmore II, who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Attmore II hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. LJ Southern was another key contributor, gaining 50 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Robinson's game on Friday was all tied up 10-10 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 27-17 win over Northwest Cabarrus.
Na'ledge Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Wright has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Brian Rowe did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 12-0 season records intact.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Dudley has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 225 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Robinson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 198.4 per game. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
