Baseball Recap: Pisgah Dragons vs. Loyd Star Hornets
Pisgah had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Loyd Star Hornets out 8-6. The victory was familiar territory for Pisgah who now have 19 in a row.
Aiden Swales was incredible, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mason Huddleston, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
On Loyd Star's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Lea, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Pisgah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 23 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. As for Loyd Star, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-8.
