Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookwood). They blew past the Paul W. Bryant Stampede 21-3 on Thursday. The Panthers have beaten the Stampede the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Stampede has come to flipping the script.

Brock Stephens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Stephens was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had over his last ten matches.

In other batting news, Jaydon Boren and Judson Bryant did most of the damage at the plate: Boren scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Bryant scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Bryant has posted over his last eight games. Ethan Creel was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Brookwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Brookwood's record now sits at 12-19. As for Paul W. Bryant, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-15.
