Basketball Recap: Glen Iris Baptist Skates Past Chilton Christian Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Iris Baptist). They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 67-27 win over the Chilton Christian Academy Patriots. Winning may never get old, but the Swordsmen sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for Joshua Everett, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points along with six assists and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Elliot Dickey, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.

Despite the loss, Chilton Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Cayman Hamilton, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points.

Glen Iris Baptist pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.8 points. As for Chilton Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Glen Iris Baptist has already played their next match, a 48-31 win against First Assembly Christian on the 17th. As for Chilton Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-34 loss against Brooklane Baptist on the 16th.
