Kenwood has gone 9-1 against Lindblom recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. At the plate, Kenwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damaurion Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Butler has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. Lindblom lost 17-4 to Jones. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Ajani Liddell and Andres Aguirre stepped up to the plate in a big way. Liddell went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Aguirre went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Jordan Terrell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Kenwood's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Lindblom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Lindblom's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kenwood has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .504. It's a different story for Lindblom, though, as they've only averaged .360. Will they be able to contain Kenwood's hitters?
Kenwood took their victory against Lindblom in their previous matchup last Monday by a conclusive 21-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
