Volleyball Recap: J.H. Rose Starts Season with Win Against Middle Creek

J.H. Rose took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Middle Creek Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win.

J.H. Rose was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-23.

Clara Evans paced J.H. Rose's offense, picking up 14 kills. Evans got some help from Campbell Rhodes and her 13 assists. Kate Wallen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Middle Creek's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will head out to square off against C.B. Aycock at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middle Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Fuquay - Varina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
