Recap: Preston Knights vs. Bridgeport Indians
The Preston Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Bridgeport 53-49. If Preston hoped to take revenge for the 49-34 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella White, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Kendra Nazelrod was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Preston's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bridgeport, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Liberty at 5:45 p.m. on January 30th. Liberty is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Bridgeport, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elkins at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
