Soccer Recap: Fort Lauderdale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Blanche Ely last Friday, Fort Lauderdale came back down to earth. The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's fell just short of the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. If the Flying L's were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fort Lauderdale's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11-2. As for Pompano Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Fort Lauderdale will take on Cypress Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Bay will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fort Lauderdale surely won't give up without a fight. Pompano Beach has already played their next game, a 9-1 defeat against North Broward Prep on the 15th.
