Highlands has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brackenridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Highlands Owls challenge Brackenridge Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Highlands is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 13th on Friday. They lost 16-4 to Seguin. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analia Aparicio, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Alythia Aparicio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Brackenridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Jefferson, falling 16-4.

Mia Vargas and Larissa Garcia did some serious damage despite the final result: Vargas went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Garcia scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Vargas has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amber Barajas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Brackenridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Highlands' record is now 7-5. As for Brackenridge, their record is now 0-9.

Highlands took their win against Brackenridge when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-2. Does Highlands have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brackenridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
