Baseball Recap: Big Rapids Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Big Rapids nor St. Francis made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Cardinals fell 4-1 to the Gladiators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Big Rapids and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for St. Francis, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Big Rapids will venture away from home to challenge Reed City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Francis, they will take on St. Mary at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
