Basketball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Albany Bulldogs.

Braden Shettles was a one-man wrecking crewfor New Albany as he went 6-for-11 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarion Bailey, who posted six points.

West Point has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. As for New Albany, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will welcome Amory at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Albany, they will square off against Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.47 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
