DuPont Manual is 7-1 against Pleasure Ridge Park since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Crimsons will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. DuPont Manual is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
DuPont Manual will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Presentation on Wednesday. The Crimsons put the hurt on the Toppers with a sharp 15-0 win. The Crimsons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.
Hailey Kincaid made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Newell, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Payton Russell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
DuPont Manual always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .739. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Pleasure Ridge Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Atherton.
Save Strange was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Reese McGohon also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
DuPont Manual has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
Everything went DuPont Manual's way against Pleasure Ridge Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as DuPont Manual made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimsons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
