Football Recap: Oakcrest Comes Up Short

Oakcrest was the 44-6 winner over Cumberland when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts on Friday. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Oakcrest is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Cumberland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oakcrest will square off against rival Middle Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cumberland is set to take on their familiar foe St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
