Football Game Preview: Moravia Mohawks vs. Twin Cedars Sabers

Moravia has gone 8-1 against Twin Cedars recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mohawks will head out to challenge the Sabers at 7:00 p.m. Moravia has given up an average of 36.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moravia is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Southeast Warren, who was ranked tenth at the time (Moravia was ranked 23rd). The Mohawks lost 74-54 to the Warhawks on Friday.

Meanwhile, Twin Cedars hadn't done well against Montezuma recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sabers breezed past the Braves to the tune of 82-8. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Sabers considering their 12-point performance the game before.

Twin Cedars' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Moravia, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Moravia against Twin Cedars in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 victory. Will the Mohawks repeat their success, or do the Sabers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
