Softball Recap: Aitkin Sets Scoring Season-High Against East Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aitkin). They blew past the East Central Eagles 28-5 on Monday. The Gobblers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Maddy Burgstaler was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Audrianna Schneider was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Aitkin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Aitkin's record now sits at 12-3. As for East Central, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
