While Hudsonville's victory against West Ottawa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Panthers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Dylan Matz looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ty Ladd was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since April 1st.

Hudsonville's record is now 11-6-1. As for West Ottawa, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hudsonville beat the Panthers by a score of 2-0 later that day.
