It was a good run, but Aitkin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Esko Eskomos. The match marked the Gobblers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Aitkin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Edwards' first of the season.

Aitkin's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Esko, they moved to 5-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aitkin will venture away from home to take on Mora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Esko, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rush City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
