It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Palestine-Wheatley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Des Arc Eagles, sneaking past 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Brody Parker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parker was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Hickman, who scored two runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Brant Medford, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
