Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Maple Grove

Maple Grove waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Harding Knights as they made off with an 81-59 win. Given the Crimson's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Knights are ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Maple Grove's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for Harding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Grove will challenge Holy Family Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harding, they will host Belle Plaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
