Anaya Saldivar-Slater Game Report: vs Burlington-Edison

Anaya Saldivar-Slater, Mount Vernon's leader in assists on the season, led the team again on Wednesday. Saldivar-Slater wasn't messing around, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The contest was her fourth straight with 17 or more points. While that hot streak is impressive, perhaps more impressive is what she's done for her team: she's posted a third or more of Mount Vernon's points for five straight games.

Saldivar-Slater and Mount Vernon will head out on the road to take on Meridian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meridian will enter the matchup having just beaten Ferndale, so Mount Vernon will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
