Softball Recap: River View Black Bears vs. Garaway Pirates
River View had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 8-13 to make it five. They came up short against the Garaway Pirates, falling 11-4. The Black Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on True Tango, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Krista Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Garaway beat River View by a score of 9-1 later that day.
