Volleyball Preview: Avon Orioles vs. McCutcheon Mavericks        
        
		
             Avon has been away from home for six games now, but  on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the McCutcheon Mavericks  at 7:00  p.m. McCutcheon took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Avon, who comes in off a win.
 Last Thursday, Avon got the win against Fishers  by a conclusive  3-0.
 While Avon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14,  25-21.
 Avon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Stella Hamood led the charge by  getting 13  digs and two  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Calista Pence, who  had nine  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Avon  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted  in their last ten  matchups.
 Meanwhile, McCutcheon came up short against  Brownsburg on Tuesday, falling  3-0. The Mavericks have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16,  25-22.
 Avon has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season. As for McCutcheon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
