Softball Recap: Red Hook Takes a Loss

Red Hook lost against New Paltz back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders fell just short of the Huguenots by a score of 12-11. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one run.

Red Hook has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for New Paltz, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Red Hook will face off against Taconic Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches. New Paltz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
