Softball Recap: Borah Lions vs. Mountain View Mavericks
On Wednesday, Borah faced Mountain View in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Borah Lions' tough 20-9 loss to the Mountain View Mavericks might stick with them for a while. Borah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mountain View apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Borah got a massive performance out of Kayla Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a double. Abigail Gardner was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.

Borah dropped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mountain View, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Borah will look to defend their home field on Friday against Nampa at 5:00 p.m. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to take on Capital at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
