Reed was sadly handed a loss on Tuesday, but Ryan Vanek did his best to prevent it. Vanek pitched six innings while giving up five earned runs off 11 hits. The performance also marked the fewest walks (zero) he has had since back in March.

Vanek and Reed will square off against McQueen at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vanek had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in April 7-3.
