For the first time this season, Newport Harbor will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Tesoro Titans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newport Harbor will be strutting in after a victory while Tesoro will be coming in after a loss.

Newport Harbor was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Colony last Friday. The Sailors blew past the Titans, posting a 45-14 win. The Sailors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Jake Meer, who threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (148.9). Shane McKibbin was Meer's top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
