Basketball Recap: New Ulm Comes Up Short

New Ulm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the St. Peter Saints at home by a 85-67 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

New Ulm's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Peter, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

New Ulm will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Maple River at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in New Ulm's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for St. Peter, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Worthington at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
