Recap: St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors vs. Thales Academy Rolesville Knights
The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Thales Academy Rolesville, posting a 61-16 win at home. St. Thomas More Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.
St. Thomas More Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Libby Fix led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. Fix has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Enora Boutrand, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
The victory (which was St. Thomas More Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 15-10. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
St. Thomas More Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Friendship Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they will be playing at home against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thales Academy Apex will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
