Recap: Southside Seahawks vs. Northside - Pinetown Panthers        
        
		
            
 If the Southside Seahawks were riding high  off their  56-5 takedown of the Mattamuskeet Lakers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Southside had to suffer through a rough  56-24 loss at the hands of Northside - Pinetown. Having soared to a lofty 56  points in the game before, Southside couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Southside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   I'Kiriyah Minor, who  scored 12 points.  Kaliah Moore was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with five  rebounds.
  Oliviajane Cahoon continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northside - Pinetown,  scoring 21 points along with six  steals. Cahoon continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mariah Jones, who  scored six points along with six  rebounds and five  steals.
 Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Northside - Pinetown, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside will take on East Carteret at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. East Carteret presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southside in North Carolina (East Carteret is ranked 100th, while Southside is ranked 345th). As for Northside - Pinetown, they will be playing at home against Jones at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Jones is hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
