Basketball Recap: Cedar Hill Comes Up Short

Cedar Hill lost against Waxahachie back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cedar Hill Longhorns fell to the Waxahachie Indians 73-67.

Waxahachie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trae Nunn, who shot 5-for-8 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. Those 26 points gave Nunn a new career-high. Jonathan Bradley was another key player, going 9 of 19 on his way to 20 points and three steals.

Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Waxahachie, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cedar Hill will head out to challenge DeSoto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waxahachie, they will welcome Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waxahachie has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 198 points over their last three contests.
